About

Less noise.
More privacy.

Built for people who just want a conversation. No ad network, no behavior tracking, no selling profiles.

Whispera chat on a phone

Messages are sealed in the client with libsodium crypto_box before they leave the device. The server forwards and stores the encrypted packet. It cannot read the text. The private key is never uploaded.

The product is small on purpose: friends, small groups, the same model on web, desktop, and phone. If it isn’t needed to talk, it isn’t in the app.

What stays where

The secret stays with you. Delivery stays with us.

On your device

  • Private encryption key
  • Unlocked conversation in memory
  • The password that unwraps the key

On the server

  • Username and password hash
  • Friends, requests, blocks
  • Public key and sealed messages

What we do not claim

Whispera is not a Signal replacement. There is no third-party audit yet, and no forward secrecy. The server can still see metadata — who messaged whom, when, and how large the packet was — just not the text.
